I'm committed to doing it still, but it's going to take a pretty much total redesign of the plugin that will take me a while. The graphics are all glitchy (in a bad way) and the timing isn't nearly as tight as on OS X for some reason. I do have the plugin 100% functional on Windows, but unfortunately the performance on Windows just isn't up to snuff, and so I don't want to release it. * efficiency improvements "under the hood"ĭespite everything I said above, I am NOT releasing a Windows version at this time. Heres the problem: If I play the track from the beginning, it will. I have configured Glitch as a synth in the plug-in properties as I am using midi to trigger 4 or 5 separate banks within the plug-in. * now supports multiple instances of plugin in one Live session I am having trouble bouncing a track and Im pretty sure its because of the dblue Glitch vst (i) im using. * now works correctly with Novation automap controllers * grid state & all parameters now saved with Live session * new randomize and evolve functions for effects * new effects: distortion, vocoder, slow down, & silence So, the new version (v1.5) of the plugin is now available - new features/improvements: I Just hope you can save the state of the grid in this update, not being able to svae anything is a major hassle. Also, I think my interface is a bit simpler (as other people on this thread have pointed out) and that's something I strive for I don't like too complex plugins that take some of the "immediacy" out of using them. ![]() It was originally created to help speed up the production of 'glitchy' electronic beats, though it is really versatile enough to be applied to a wide range of musical styles. I *was* influenced by Glitch (and other apps/plugs) - if you'd like more details, check out this thread on KVR - hint it has to do with my band, "Glitch": ).Īnyway, the sound of MM compared to Glitch is a bit different, and furthermore, in the Windows/Mac next version that I'm working on now, there will be some new effects that are not in dBlue's. Glitch is a realtime audio manipulation system which allows you to alter your music in a variety of ways ranging from quite subtle to extremely bizarre. ![]() I won't want to buy it if there's too much overlap with Glitch, so can you clarify how the two are different? ![]() ![]() Is this true? It seems to me that it was originally based on it, but may have additions or changes. I've heard from numerous people that this plugin was basically a mac version of dBlue's Glitch.
